The Body Activists, LLC
Our mission is to encourage conversations around bodies, educate about the risks of stigma and negative body image, promote leadership, and pursue action through elevating underrepresented voices and challenging the status quo.
Our Vision
The Body Activists envision a more just, kind, and equitable world where people in all bodies are safe, heard, accepted, uplifted, and supported by systems that were once oppressive.
Through empowerment, tangible change, and education, everyone will be encouraged to rip down the walls of what is and become the changemakers of what is to come.
Our Pillars
Justice: We lift up those under systemic oppression and elevate voices of communities that have been marginalized, including Communities of Color and Fat communities.
Awareness: We encourage all people to learn what they don’t know and spread the word about issues that matter.
Education: We provide educational services to all communities that are working against discrimination and toward justice.
Dialogue: We make safe spaces for people to talk and heal, as well as facilitate events and conferences where authentic discussion is the focus.
Action: We will lead by example and encourage people to take true actions in their communities to fight injustices and discrimination.
